Leadership Lexington County Application

Thank you for your interest in the 31st Class of Leadership Lexington County! Since its inception in 1995, more than 900 participants have graduated from this rewarding program. Each year with the knowledge gained, network and friendships established, our Alumni make a positive difference within our community.

The basis for our program is to provide local community leaders from a wide range of organizations, agencies, and businesses the opportunity to learn about our county’s history and explore what makes Lexington County one of the best places to live, work, and play today and tomorrow.

During the 12-month program, you and your classmates will travel throughout Lexington County to explore county and municipal governments, public safety, businesses, economic development, school systems, hospitals, and much, much more. This program provides enrichment activities and behind the scenes tours of key facilities within the county. Leadership Lexington County provides participants with fantastic professional development opportunities as they learn about the county and network with the other class participants and movers and shakers throughout the community.

Our program is designed for those interested in learning more about Lexington County and willing to commit to an overnight entrance retreat in January 2026. You will be required to attend monthly sessions beginning in February and ending in October (excluding June and July). We will also be celebrating the Class of 2025's graduation and introducing the incoming class in January 2026 at our largest event of the year.

To apply to our program, you will first need to complete this application no later than October 3, 2025 and pay the $20 Non-Refundable application fee. Our Credentials Committee will review all applications received and if selected, a member of that committee will contact you to schedule an interview. Following the interview process, selected candidates will be notified of their acceptance to the program. Tuition will be due upon acceptance into our program.

The benefits, however, do not stop after graduation! The relationships created during your classes will last a lifetime. We also have regular alumni activities, which will include social and educational opportunities.

As the chairman of upcoming 31st year of Leadership Lexington County and a graduate of the Class of 2019, I hope you will submit your application and help make the class of 2025 our best class yet!
